Skylark

The Skylark, a 770-square-foot prefab ADU, offers grounded comfort and airy freedom, reflecting the spirit of its namesake—a ground-dwelling bird that is known for its beautiful song in flight. This spacious and thoughtfully crafted modular small home features two bedrooms and 1.5 bathrooms, providing a balance of privacy and shared spaces. While the expansive living room serves as the heart of the home, there are two outdoor patio areas, envisioned as “nests,” offering serene retreats to connect with nature. Skylights give this space a bright airy feel and creates sun-kissed spaces, also supporting a seamless transition between indoor and outdoor living. This customizable ADU design embodies the skylark’s unique ability to bridge earth and sky.

The Sahar

If you haven't noticed yet, we draw inspiration for naming our units from around the world and from that magical time at the dawn of each day, when hope and opportunity flow high. We've all experienced the peace and tranquility of that time just before the sun rises. Our new unit is named Sahar, an Arabic word that means "just before dawn". We draw from this inspiration as we build these customizable ADUs and create a place to rest, rise and shine each day. At 420 SF or 540 SF, this prefab ADU has a spacious bathroom, 1 or 2 separate bedrooms, kitchen and living space. This modular backyard home is ideal as a backyard rental unit or home of your own.

Our newest Accessory Dwelling Unit speaks to enchantment, family, and memories. Yes, it’s the title of a Disney movie, but nobody owns language or the right to make magic. We crafted this ADU with extended families in mind because our units are being used more and more to house parents, siblings, and young adults. It’s a beautiful thing to watch families come together, with the possibility of proximity while retaining privacy. This modular backyard home was meticulously crafted to enchant and delight at every turn. It's sized as a small home for both a private retreat and a place to make memories with the ones you love.

Design Details

Casa Zama

We worked with great care and attention on this prefab ADU inspired but the Mayan word "Zama," meaning "dawn", which was the original name of the town of Tulum on the Caribbean Sea, the place that first received sunlight in the Mayan kingdom each day. We want this modular backyard home to be a place to rest, rise and shine at the dawn of each day. At 300 square feet, this prefab ADU is a larger version of the Zen Den with full bath, kitchen and living space. Casa Zama is a perfect turnkey small home solution with a quick build process.

Design Details

The Lalit

The Lalit expands our original studio into a 250-square-feet prefab ADU with a bathroom and kitchen. This ADU is perfect as an in-law suite, an Airbnb rental, or a backyard retreat. We're calling it the Lalit, which carries many meanings that resonate with this design. In French "lalit" is literally bed, but in Sanskrit it means sweet, elegant, and graceful. And in classical Hindustan music, the Lalit is a raga regarded as serene and devotional and performed at the dawn of the day. Call it whatever you want, but we think this turnkey, modular ADU is a perfect small home solution that supports rest and rejuvenation to rise and shine each day.

This is the philosophy behind our designs and what we hope to spark as you occupy your new space, be it: your office, your she-shed, your reading room, your garden cottage, your exercise room. With a quick ADU build process and easy installation, it’s a perfect turnkey backyard retreat.
